A Magnificent French Louis XV Extending Dining Table-Walnut with Ebony Stringing & Giltwood Accents

This magnificent French Louis XV extending dining table, dating to the late 19th century, showcases exceptional craftsmanship, refined proportions, and timeless elegance. The elongated oval top is beautifully crafted from rich, honey-toned walnut, its surface enhanced by a lustrous hand-polished finish that highlights the natural grain and figuring of the wood. A fine inlaid ebony stringing runs around the perimeter, subtly framing the tabletop and lending visual depth and sophistication.

Designed for versatility, the table includes five removable leaves, seamlessly transforming it from an intimate dining setting into a grand banquet configuration. It rests upon six gracefully contoured cabriole legs, each adorned with giltwood teardrop cartouches at the knees — a distinctive Louis XV-inspired detail.
